Our daily routines

At a quarter past seven the alarm clock rings, Mortimer barks and Axel wakes up. He gets up, goes to the bathroom, brushes his teeth and washes his face.

Axel and Mortimer have breakfast in the kitchen. Axel has tea and toast and Mortimer has water and biscuits. At a quarter to eight Axel goes to school. Mortimer stays at home. He makes Axel’s bed and tidies his room. Axel’s a lucky boy. Axel is a good student. After school, he does his homework and he doesn’t watch TV. Sophie is lazy. She watches TV and she doesn’t do her homework. Vanessa is lazy, too. She doesn’t tidy Sophie’s room.

After dinner, Axel plays with Mortimer. Then he goes to bed, tired but happy.

After dinner, Sophie is tired, too. But she can’t go to bed. First, she does her homework and tidies her room.

 INTRODUCTION:

 Los Angeles is in California, in the south west of the USA. It’s a very large city. The population is about 3,500,000 people.

 A FAMOUS CITY

 Los Angeles is a modern city. It’s famous for Hollywood, one of the suburbs. Hollywood is the centre of the American film industry, and a lot of rich and famous people live there. Two famous streets in Los Angeles are Sunset Boulevard, where there are a lot of restaurants and music studios, and Hollywood Boulevard.

INDUSTRY:

The main industries in Los Angeles are aircraft, film, TV, and music. Tourism is also very important. Tourists love Los Angeles’s warm weather and the places connected with famous people. You can go on a bus to see the stars’ homes. On Hollywood Boulevard you can visit Mann’s Chinese Theatre and see the footprints, handprints and names of hundreds of film stars.
